Summer Art Institute for High School Students
UNL Summer Art Institute is a 4 day 5 night hands-on art experience during which UNL faculty and graduate students lead you in workshops, guide you through Lincoln's vibrant art scene, and introduce you to working artists in their studios. Get a taste of UNL campus life this summer while doing what you love... making art.
Dates: June 7-12, 2015
Tentative ScheduleThe daily schedule will include morning and afternoon art-making activities as well as evening visits to galleries and artist studios. All meals are served in the UNL Residence Halls. Art making activities may include:
- Digital Video
- 2D Digital Media
- Screen Printing
- Climbing at UNL's new Outdoor Adventure Center
- Movie night at Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center
Participants will stay in a UNL Residence Hall. One male and one female counselor will reside in the residence hall with participants. All activities will be supervised by both a counselor and workshop instructor.
The cost to attend Summer Art Institute is $450. Room, board, artist materials, and all programming is included in the cost. Participants may want to bring a small amount of cash for incidentals.
Registration is completed via our SlideRoom portal and payment is due in full at the time of registration.
