Nebraska Repertory Theatre

  • The Nebraska Repertory Theatre, the Johnny Carson School of Theatre & Film’s Equity theatre, was created by Theatre Chair Dallas S. Williams and his faculty with the first summer season of shows in 1968.
  • In 1988, Theatre Chair and Executive Director Tice L. Miller and Artistic Director Bob Hall forged an agreement with Actors’ Equity Association as the Nebraska Rep subsequently became an Equity company working under a Small Professional Theatre (SPT) contract.
  • At the end of summer 2014, Virginia Smith completed a ten-season tenure as Artistic Director.
