In addition to working closely with outstanding faculty, you will also have access to internationally renowned guest artists and experiences at the acclaimed Lied Center for the Performing Arts, Sheldon Museum of Art, Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center, and the Nebraska Repertory Theatre.
Lied Center for Performing Arts
The Lied Center for Performing Arts serves students and residents of the entire region by bringing the world's finest arts and entertainment to its stage. It offers major
regional, national and international events. It also provides opportunities for Nebraska artists to perform and a
teaching/training laboratory for performing arts departments at UNL.
The Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center features two screens, state-of-the-art technology, a research library and film storage archive, offices, and a concessions stand. In it, we are able to show everything from silent movies to the most recent technologies, the new electronic (digital) cinema, and everything in between.
The Sheldon Museum of Art and Sculpture Garden houses over 12,000 works of art in all media. This comprehensive collection of
American art includes prominent holdings of 19th-century landscape and still life, American Impressionism, early Modernism,
geometric abstraction, Abstract Expressionism, pop, minimalism and contemporary art.
The Eisentrager-Howard Gallery is open to the public and hosts changing exhibitions that extend the studio and classroom. Exhibitions include MFA Thesis, Undergraduate Capstone, Undergraduate Juried Art Competition, Faculty Biennial, and invited artists.
