Hixson-Lied Undergraduate Scholarships
The Hixson-Lied Undergraduate Scholarships are non-renewable, one-year, merit/talent-based scholarship awards for incoming
in-state or out-of-state Freshman students, as well as for transfer students new to UNL. Up to 30 scholarships, equal to up to
25% of in-state or out-of-state tuition, will be awarded each year.
Students apply for the Miller and the Oldfield Scholarships using the same application. The College's Academic Distinction and
Awards Committee reviews the applications and recommends the top two for Miller Scholarships. The final decision on the Miller
Scholarships are made by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
The UNL student experience is an incredible value—one of the best in the Big Ten in a community with a low cost of living. Beyond great scholarships, our Hixson-Lied Endowment funds amazing opportunities not available most anywhere else.
