Becker, Clinton present works by two American Composers

LINCOLN, Neb.— Cellist Karen Becker and pianist Mark Clinton will present works by two American composers on Thursday, November 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Glenn Korff School of Music’s Westbrook Recital Hall at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Becker will perform John Corigliano’s Fancy On A Bach Air for cello solo, followed by Becker and Clinton playing the Sonata for Cello and Piano by Robert Muczynski. The program will conclude with the Sonata in F Major, Op. 99 of Johannes Brahms.

Karen Becker, professor of cello, is the principal cellist of Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra and director of the UNL/Lincoln Public Schools String Project (https://arts.unl.edu/music/string-project) . Mark Clinton is a professor of piano and head of the keyboard area.
