ChamberFest, Honors ChamberFest performances coming soon

LINCOLN, Neb.— Groups formed at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music will perform at ChamberFest and Honors ChamberFest performances on Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3. All of the performances are free and open to the public.

 

Seven chamber groups will perform on Friday, December 2 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Westbrook Recital Hall.

 

Then on Saturday, December 3 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall, the Honors ChamberFest Concert will feature the UNL Chamber Music Program’s top student chamber music ensembles selected through an audition. The program will include Debussy’s beautiful Piano Trio in G Major, Mendelssohn’s String Quartet in A minor, Op. 13, Libertango by Piazzolla arranged for four violins, Bacewizc’s quirky quartet for four violins, and a contemporary work written for clarinet quartet by Josh Spaulding which uses electronic recordings as part of the performance.
