Cornhusker Marching Band traveling to Northwestern game to perform; Open rehearsal to take place in Iowa Friday

LINCOLN, Neb.— The 300-member University of Nebraska-Lincoln Cornhusker Marching Band will be taking to the road this weekend to perform at halftime of the Nebraska vs. Northwestern football game in Evanston, Illinois.

The Pride of All Nebraska will leave early Friday morning on six buses and will stop for a 1 p.m. open rehearsal at Brady Street Stadium (36th and Brady) in Davenport, Iowa (hosted by Davenport Central High School). There will be another open rehearsal at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Downers Grove South High School (1436 Norfolk Street) in Downers Grove, Illinois. 

The Cornhusker Marching Band will be performing the Big Red Beach Party show that was performed as part of the halftime of the Wyoming home game. The band will then return on Sunday.

The road trip will also be the debut of the renovated Cornhusker Marching Band trailer.
