'Nebraska's Best' Exhibition opens Nov. 7

“Nebraska’s Best:  High School Artists from Lincoln and Omaha” opens Nov. 7 and continues through Nov. 18 at the Department of Art and Art History’s Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall on the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s city campus.

A First Friday Reception will be held on Friday, Nov. 7 from 6-8 p.m. with the awards of merit being announced at 7 p.m.

Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 12:30-4:30 p.m. Admission to the gallery is free and open to the public

This exhibition includes artwork from the best high school artists from the greater Omaha and Lincoln metro areas (including high schools in Cass, Douglas, Saunders, Sarpy, Washington and Lancaster counties).

Art teachers were invited to select artwork by one student to represent their program. Twenty-five schools responded.
