UNL Symphony Orchestra presents ‘Student Soloist Night’

LINCOLN, Neb.— The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music Symphony Orchestra presents “Student Soloist Night” on Saturday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall.

Featured on the program are the winners of the 2015-16 Graduate and Undergraduate Solo Competitions, Patty Kramer, mezzo-soprano, and Addie Hotchkiss, cello. The program will also feature Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 5 (“Reformation”) and Brahms’s Academic Festival Overture.

Members of the Symphony Orchestra, directed by Tyler White, include students from throughout the university. The ensemble’s objectives are to prepare and present a wide variety of repertoire including chamber, symphonic, and operatic masterworks, and to maintain professional standards of musicianship and etiquette within a collegial and supportive educational atmosphere.

Tickets are General Admission $5; Student/Seniors $3.
