LINCOLN, Neb.— An endangered species, a chanson by Ockeghem, a poem by Rilke, a private remark by Aaron Copland, an exclamation by a Buddhist monk, and a rare specimen of organum by Pérotin: these are the seeds of inspiration from which the music came to life. Karel Husa, Kathryn Salfelder, Morton Lauridsen, Wayne Oquin, David Maslanka, and Ron Nelson each have crafted a facet of a program that reflects the broad spectrum of the human condition.

Join us for an emotional journey as the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music Wind Ensemble opens its’ 2015-2016 concert season on Wednesday, October 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Kimball Recital Hall.

Tickets are General Admission $5; Student/Seniors $3. This performance will also be live webcast: https://arts.unl.edu/music/webcasts
