UNL'S Syron wins 3 Neptune Award for design work
UNL Assistant Professor of Practice Colleen Syron won three 2013 Neptune Awards from the Marine Marketers of America (MMA) for her design work for Sea Tow Services International.
Syron is the creative director and owner of Syron Design, which began branding Sea Tow Services International in 2008.
Seventeen independent judges from all sectors of the industry score the entries, which recognize the very best marketing work in the North American marine marketplace.
Her three awards included:
• Best National Magazine Advertising (Series) for Sea Tow Services International for “Benefits of Sea Tow Membership” created by Syron Design.
• Best Digital Newsletter for Sea Tow Services International for “Sea Tow News,” created by Syron Design.
• Best E-mail Blast for Sea Tow Services International for “Sea Tow Trial Membership Program,” created by Syron Design.
“We are honored that the Marine Marketers of America has recognized our membership benefits advertising campaign, along with two of the methods we use to communicate with our valued Sea Tow members,” said Kristen Frohnhoefer, Sea Tow Chief Administrative Officer. “Congratulations and many thanks go to Colleen Syron of Syron Design and our talented Sea Tow marketing team.”
As Sea Tow's creative agency, Syron Design works with their in-house marketing department on branding strategy, design and engagement across all forms of communication.
"After conducting consumer research, we identified key purchasing triggers," Syron said. "Approximately two dozen targeted ads were written, designed, photographed and distributed across the franchise network, featuring photography by Jeremy Frechette and copy by Jenny Wootton."
