Philharmonia Chamber Orchestra

Director: Dr. Tyler White

The Philharmonia Chamber Orchestra is a highly select instrumental ensemble that provides accompaniment annually to one production of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Opera program, and that performs the virtuoso concert repertoire of the 18th through 21st centuries written for smaller orchestral forces. The ensemble follows a rehearsal schedule approximating that of professional ensembles, preparing its performances in a small number of intensive rehearsals.

Membership in the Philharmonia Chamber Orchestra is determined by audition each semester. Audition music and schedule information can be obtained from Tyler White (402-472-7698).

Symphony Orchestra & Philharmonia Chamber Orchestra Auditions Every Semester

Membership in these ensembles is determined by a juried audition that takes place during the first week of classes in August for the fall semester and in late November or early December for the spring semester. Audition music is available in May for the fall semester and in November for the spring semester. Printed copies can be obtained from the Glenn Korff School of Music’s instrumental music faculty or by downloading the music from the web page below when it becomes available.

All auditions take place in Westbrook Music Building (WMB.)
