Campus Orchestra to perform its first concert

LINCOLN, Neb.— The first-ever University of Nebraska-Lincoln Campus Orchestra performance will take place December 3 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall.

The fledgling orchestra is in its first term in the Glenn Korff School of Music. This ensemble does not require an audition and is open to string playing university students from all across the campus. The overseeing faculty member is Dr. Tyler White.

The conductors are graduate conducting students Canes Nicolas and David Galant, and they will lead the ensemble in performance of works by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Handel, LeRoy Anderson and a Haitian folk song arranged by John Jost.

Cost to attend the event is General Admission $5; Student/Seniors $3.
