LINCOLN, Neb.— University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music Hixson-Lied Professor of Piano Mark Clinton will present “The Poetry and Passion of the Piano” on September 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public and is also available via live webcast.

“I’m very excited to share this recital with the audience at Kimball Recital Hall, and also with those who will join us from all over the world via the webcast,” Clinton said. “I’m calling my recital “The Poetry and Passion of the Piano” because I find that all of the works on the program beautifully illustrate the ability of the piano to communicate an enormous range of emotions from the poetic to the passionate. These are also some of my favorite works for solo piano, and I consider them to be among the most beautiful and inspiring compositions ever written for the instrument.”
