WET INK -- Two nights of composition premieres upcoming at UNL

LINCOLN, Neb.— The Composition program at the Glenn Korff School of music presents it’s WET INK concert series for the Fall 2014 semester. This two evening concert series features an especially varied and rich set of premieres from the student composers of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The concerts will take place in the Westbrook Recital Hall on Monday, November 24, and Tuesday, November 25 at 7.30 pm. each night. It’s free and open to the public.

Monday’s program features new music for double reed ensemble (featuring the entire oboe and bassoon studios of the Glenn Korff School of Music!), string quintet, trombone quartet, brass quintet, jazz combo, and solo works for alto saxophone, piano, and viola.

The Tuesday program will feature works for string quartet, saxophone quartet, woodwind duet, art song, solo piano, and a new work for vocal jazz ensemble with strings.
