‘Making History’ ceramics exhibition opens Nov. 9

Lincoln, Neb.--“Making History,” which showcases the work of Associate Professor of Art Margaret Bohls’ Making History ceramics class, will be on display at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Eisentrager-Howard Gallery from Nov. 9-20.

The gallery is located in the center of the first floor of Richards Hall on the university’s city campus at Stadium Drive and T streets.

Four college faculty selected as new Research Development Fellows

Lincoln, Neb.--Four faculty from the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts were among 25 faculty selected to serve as 2020-21 Research Development Fellows.

The program provides full-time, pre-tenure faculty with information, resources and approaches necessary to prepare competitive grant proposals.

Lincoln, Neb.--The Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts is seeking applications for the 24th annual Nebraska Young Artist Awards. 

The Nebraska Young Artist Awards annually recognize 11th grade students from Nebraska who are gifted and talented in the areas of visual art, dance, music, theatre, and emerging media arts. These students exemplify the pinnacles of creativity in one of the fine and performing arts.

Lincoln, Neb.--Five artists are presenting Hixson-Lied Visiting Artist & Scholar lectures this fall in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s School of Art, Art History & Design.

The School of Art, Art History & Design’s Hixson-Lied Visiting Artist & Scholar Lecture Series brings notable artists, scholars and designers to Nebraska each semester to enhance the education of students.
