Julie Uribe is an Emmy Award-winning producer who has more than 25 years of experience in the television industry. Most recently Julie served as the SVP of Non-Scripted Development for FremantleMedia North America (FMNA; the media giant that produced American Idol) where she led development, pilot production and international acquisition strategy.

Prior to joining FMNA, Uribe served as a writer/producer on various programs for networks such as National Geographic, Animal Planet and the Discovery Channel. In 1999, Uribe won a Daytime Emmy Award for her work on ABC’s Better Homes and Gardens. Professional acting highlights include guest spots and recurring roles on: The Drew Carey Show, Family Matters, Step by Step, Perfect Strangers, General Hospital and Days of Our Lives. She is also an alumni member of The Groundlings Sunday Company.

A native of Lincoln, Uribe received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from UNL. In 2016, she was selected for the Nebraska Alumni Association’s Masters Week honor.
