Marsha has been freelancing as a Director of Photography based in San Francisco for over 25 years.  Her documentary work has been shown at the Sundance Film Festival and on national PBS many times, garnering awards at the New York, Chicago, Berlin, Toronto Film Festivals and the San Francisco International Film Festival.  Her shooting, both domestic and international, has included marketing films and videos for corporations such as Apple, Coca-Cola, AT&T, IBM, Genentech, Microsoft, Cisco, and documentary, fundraising, PSA’s and promotional work for HBO, WNET, KQED, MTV and the Movie Channel as well as for independent producers.

Her career began with a Women in Training Grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.  She joined the film unit at NET, the Nebraska Public Television Station in Lincoln, Nebraska and stayed for two years.  After a year traveling through the South Pacific and New Zealand, she moved to the film unit at WHA-TV, the Madison, Wisconsin based Public Television Station winning numerous awards for documentary film work.  The final project at WHA­-TV, Uncommon Places: The Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, was the winner of both a Gold Medal at the 1985 New York Film Festival and a Gold Hugo at the1986 Chicago Film Festival.  This film was her first chance to co-direct, with producer Dave Iverson, shoot, and edit a feature documentary.
