A DECONSTRUCTION OF THE CHEKHOV PLAY, THE SEAGULL. CONRAD IS OBSESSED WITH ART AND HIS DESIRE FOR IT TO BE A MEANINGFUL FORCE, POWERFUL ENOUGHT TO CATALYZE REAL CHANGE IN PEOPLE. CONRAD ALSO STRUGGLES WITH INTENSE AND PAINFUL UNREQUITED LOVE, BOTH FOR THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE AND HIS MOTHER.
