About Midwest Clarifest

Dear Clarinet Enthusiast,


Midwest ClariFest is hosted by Dr. Diane Barger, Hixson-Lied Professor of Clarinet, and is an outreach mission of the Glenn Korff School of Music’s Clarinet Studio, serving a community of state and regional clarinetists from junior high through college age, as well as teachers and band directors. Celebrating its 21th year, Midwest ClariFest 2018 features guest artist Dr. Jesse Krebs from Truman State University.

The festival includes:

* a morning kick-off recital 

* master class sessions

* Informal discussions

* Performances by area clarinetists in the final Potpourri Recital
