About Midwest Clarifest

Celebrating its 23rd year, Midwest ClariFest at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, hosted by Dr. Diane Barger, Professor of Clarinet, is an outreach mission of the Glenn Korff School of Music’s Clarinet Studio that serves a community of state and regional clarinetists from junior high through college age, as well as teachers and band directors. Dr. Jeremy Reynolds, Clarinet Professor at the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music, is the featured guest artist. Other guests include Dr. Vanessa Davis, adjunct professor at the Steven F. Austin University, Dr. Larkin Sanders, owner of the Clever Clarinetist, and others, TBA.
The event is free to all participants. All events will take place in the Westbrook Recital Hall, Room #119, and exhibits will be housed in WMB #130, in the Westbrook Music Building of the Glenn Korff School of Music from 9 a.m -6 p.m.

The festival includes:

a morning kick-off recital by guest artist Jeremy Reynolds
* master class sessions with Dr. Reynolds
* special lecture presentations
* informal discussions
* performances by state and regional clarinetists in the final potpourri recital
