Lincoln, Neb.--Visual Arts in Practice (VAP) will host their annual Open Studios event on Friday, Nov. 7 from 5-7:30 p.m. in Richards Hall and Woods Art Building. The event is free and open to the public.
During the event, 18 graduate students from the Master of Fine Arts program in the School of Art, Art History & Design will open their studios to the UNL art community and the general public.
Open studios is a chance for the community to get to know the graduate cohort’s creative endeavors, see behind the scenes and engage in meaningful conversations.
As part of this event, a raffle will also take place. Each participating graduate student will have a piece of work donated to the raffle. These works will be displayed in the open crit space on the second floor of Ricards Hall, and the public will have the chance of winning one of the works.
Tickets for the raffle are $1 (cash only), and the winners will be announced at 7:30 p.m. in the open crit space. (Winners need not be present to win.) The purchase of these tickets allows VAP to do communal events throughout the year.
