Charles Wang is the Deputy Director of the newly established Advanced Innovation Center for Future Visual Entertainment at the Beijing Film Academy (BFA), one of the world’s leading film schools, where he also serves as the Deputy Director of Research and Information Management, as well as Associate Professor of Film and TV Technology.

Wang entered the entertainment industry in 1997 as Technical Director in a 3D animation company owned by the BFA, after he graduated from Tsinghua University. In 2002 he received his Masters from the BFA and began teaching in the Film and TV Technology Department. For the last 15 years he has directing R&D projects on digital film and immersive media technologies.
