Ann Marie Pollard is a director, actor, singer, and voice coach serving as an Associate Professor of Practice at the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film and as the Resident Voice, Text, and Dialects Coach for the Nebraska Repertory Theatre. She has served on faculty at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, the Royal Welsh College for Music and Drama, and North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. Through her private studio, Voice: Realized, she supports and empowers people of all professions to come into the fullest expression of their physical and vocal presence. She is an honored recipient of the James V. Grieson Exemplary Service to Students Award.
As an actor she most recently performed a one-woman play by Jennifer Blackmer entitled I Carry Your Heart With Me for Angels Theatre Company. She has previously performed for First Folio Theatre, Porchlight Musical Theatre, Nebraska Shakespeare's Shakespeare on the Green, and Lubbock Moonlight Musicals.
As a singer, Ann Marie is a cross-over artist specializing in new works and interdisciplinary productions. Such credits include Peter Fischer’s O d’amarti, o morire, the title role in Astor Piazzola’s tango opera Maria de Buenos Aires for which she also served as choreographer, and the premiere of Janice Hamer’s The Lost Childhood with the National Philharmonic.
