Honors Day alumni awards announced
Lincoln, Neb.--The Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts will celebrate student, faculty, staff and alumni achievement at its annual Honors Day celebration on Friday, April 22. The dinner is by invitation only.

Svoboda named 2022 Alumni Master for Hixson-Lied College
Lincoln, Neb.--University of Nebraska–Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music alumnus Richard Svoboda (B.M.E. 1978) is one of eight alumni named to the 2022 class of Alumni Masters by the Nebraska Alumni Association.
Svoboda will be on campus working with students in the Glenn Korff School of Music March 31-April 1 and will be honored at the Nebraska Medallion Dinner on April 1.

Husker alumna Ezinma performing April 2 for Meadowlark’s 20th anniversary
Lincoln, Neb.--Beyoncé’s violinist, Ezinma, a Lincoln native and Husker alumna, will be performing with Omaha’s Grammy-nominated Voices of Victory Gospel Choir for Meadowlark Music Festival’s 20th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall.

Nathan Koch faculty recital April 6 presents contemporary works

UNL Wind Ensemble to premiere Kevin Day concerto at March 30 concert
Lincoln, Neb.--The University of Nebraska–Lincoln Wind Ensemble will premiere composer Kevin Day’s “Windborne,” a concerto for horn commissioned by Glenn Korff School of Music alumnus Steven Cohen (B.A. 2014; M.M. 2015).

Mattingly receives university advising award
Lincoln, Neb.--Jacqueline Mattingly, interim associate dean for student success in the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts and assistant professor of practice in the Glenn Korff School of Music, is this year’s recipient of the Dr. Charles Riedesel Outstanding Academic Advising Award from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor.
