Lincoln, Neb.—The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Symphonic Band will perform Thursday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall.

The concert is free and open to the public. The concert will also be live webcast. Visit https://music.unl.edu/webcaststhe day of the performance for the link.

The Symphonic Band, under the direction of Associate Director of Bands Tony Falcone, has the distinction of being the band program’s top symphonic ensemble. Its mission is to provide instrumentalists with an opportunity to demonstrate and develop the techniques and musical instincts appropriate to a symphonic setting.

The Symphonic Band’s program March 10 is titled “Suite Talk” and will be conducted by Falcone and graduate assistant conductor Trevor Frost.

“You’ll hear works by Anthony O’Toole, Gustav Holst, Vincent Perischetti and Robert Rumbelow’s powerful piece ‘Night,’ which is based on impressions evoked by the novel of the same title by 1986 Nobel Peace Prize winner Elie Wiesel,” Falcone said.
