Lincoln, Neb.— The University of Nebraska–Lincoln School of Art, Art History & Design is hosting art sales in ceramics, printmaking and photography on May 10-11 in Richards Hall.

Hours for the sales are Friday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the sales is free and open to the public. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted at both sales.

The Clay Club’s spring sale will take place in Richards Hall Rm. 118. The sale will feature work made by School of Art, Art History & Design graduate and undergraduate ceramics students.

A raffle will also be held for a chance to win collaborative work by graduate students, undergraduate students and faculty.

Proceeds from the sale go to the artists, as well as funding future Clay Club events. This student-run organization brings in visiting artists to the community and sends students to national clay conferences.

“The bi-annual Clay Club sale not only supports our visiting artist program and enables us to participate in national conferences, but also serves as a vital link between the Lincoln community and the thriving ceramics culture at UNL,” said graduate student Charlotte Middleton. “The pottery and sculpture available enlivens our inhabited spaces, elevates our connection to everyday moments, and creates relationships between developing artists with their community.”

The UNL Photo Club and UNL Printmakers will have work for sale in Richards Hall Rm. 112. The sale will feature works from graduate and undergraduate students.

They will also have a raffle for faculty and graduate student work. For the cost of $1, a ticket can be purchased for a chance to win one of the many donated artworks from photo grads and faculty.

Richards Hall is located at Stadium Drive and T streets on the UNL city campus. Public parking is available at the Stadium Drive parking garage. For more information, call the School of Art, Art History & Design at (402) 472-5522 or e-mail nebraskaclayclub@gmail.com
