Big Ten experience –
small on costs
The UNL student experience is an incredible value – you get a Big Ten academic program and campus life at one of the lowest tuition costs in the conference.
You can graduate in 4 years
In nearly all UNL programs, you can average a reasonable 15-credit-hours-per-semester course load and be able to graduate in four years, keeping your overall cost of attendance at a minimum.
Scholarships add up at Nebraska
- 75% of UNL’s new freshman receive scholarships and/or gift aid toward payment of their tuition.
- 48% of new freshman in 2012–2013 received a scholarship from the University.
Funding available for unique experiences
You can take advantage of UNL’s Hixson-Lied Endowment (not every arts college has such a generous funding source!), which helps cover costs for:
- student research
- summer study (in the U.S. and abroad)
- student travel to perform, compete and present
Support from the start matters
Your first year of college will set the tone for your entire experience, and our Office of First-Year Experience and Transition Programs exists for one reason: to help you make the most of your first year. At UNL, benefits like advising, support services like our Writing Center, and peer and faculty connections are included.
Employers expect excellence from us
UNL and the Big Ten Conference are known for producing high-achieving graduates. That “N” on your resume separates you from other candidates and makes a strong first impression.
An internationalized education
With students and faculty from over 130 countries, education abroad programs in over 70, and research efforts and partnerships on all 7 continents, UNL can prepare you for what the world demands: people who can move easily across cultures, languages and national borders.
Lincoln = low cost of living
The arts matter here. So does affordable rent. The low cost of living in Lincoln means you don’t have to pay as much to get access to the skills you need to make an impact on the world. Life in Lincoln – the third largest city in the Big Ten – is great.
With ACE, you win
