Lincoln, Neb.—The third Flyover new music concert will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 7:30 p.m. in Westbrook Music Building Rm. 119.

The concert is free and open to the public. The concert will also be live webcast. Visit https://music.unl.edu/webcasts the day of the performance for the link.

The Flyover New Music Series is the new music series presented by composition students in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Glenn Korff School of Music. The series is administered and overseen by composition faculty and students, including Greg Simon, assistant professor of composition.

The third concert of the 2021-2022 season is titled “As Time Goes By.” Seven new works will be featured on this concert, all composed by members of the UNL composition studio.

The works on this concert explore the concept of time in a variety of ways—looking at the past through mythic stories and historical events, the present through the beauty of our natural world, or looking to future hopes, dreams and possibilities.

“Please join us for an unforgettable night and a musical journey through time,” said John Cope, a graduate teaching assistant in the music composition area.

Westbrook Music Building is located at 11th and R streets on the UNL city campus. Facemasks are currently required indoors on campus. For the latest information on COVID-19 protocols, visit https://covid19.unl.edu
