All cellists are invited to participate in this exciting event! Dr. Karen Becker, professor of cello in the Glenn Korff School of Music, and her UNL cello students look forward to welcoming cellists of all ages to a fun day of music-making. The event takes place on Saturday, Sept. 27, on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus – in the newly renovated Kimball Recital Hall!

This year our guest artist is Dianne Betkowski from Denver, Colorado. Dianne is the cellist in the Latin jazz band Miguel Espinoza Fusion. The band will kick off all the Cellobrating on Friday evening, Sep. 26 (see info below). Dianne will lead a super fun improvisation class for all of us, teach a cello masterclass, and perform on the 3:30 concert with us!  Other events will include warm-ups and technique and, of course, the Cellobration Cello Choir with all participants!

Students wanting to play in the master class should be taking private lessons and check with their cello teacher before submitting a 5-minute audition video. (see info on the registration form)

Bring your family and friends to these free Cellobration concerts!
