Candidates for the Option A degree must complete 10-12 semester hours of the required credit in regularly scheduled campus courses, excluding credit in thesis or recital. Candidates for Option B degrees must complete at least 18 hours in regularly scheduled campus courses. At least one-half of the work for a master's degree must be in the department or area constituting the student’s major. The work required for a master's degree must be completed within five consecutive calendar years.
