Music

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Music (B.M.)

The music major is available as a Bachelor of Music (B.M.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). The B.M. offers an intensive program for music education, while the B.A. program allows space for more electives and dual degree options for a broader focus.

In each, you'll build a strong foundation in music theory, history, keyboard skills and ensemble participation alongside our expert faculty. Advance your craft through a range of performance and practice opportunities, preparing you to enter the world of professional musicianship.

Students have the options of getting a degree in:

Music composition, history and theory
Performance (instrumental or vocal)

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

The Bachelor of Arts in Dance offers an intensive dance education while allowing the curricular space for electives or a second major. Through a balanced, integrated curriculum, you'll learn the cultural, theatrical and performing aspects of dance across styles and cultures, developing safe working methods as you explore your personal artistry and expression.

Music Education

Bachelor of Music Education (B.M.E.)

The music education program prepares students for successful careers as teachers in public or private school settings. Graduates are certified as PreK –12 grade music educators through a breadth of on campus learning opportunities and extensive field work in practicum and student teaching placements.
