Bailey presents faculty recital Feb. 4

Lincoln, Neb.—Glenn Korff School of Music faculty member John Bailey, flute, will present a faculty recital on Tuesday, Feb 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Westbrook Music Building Rm. 119.

The concert is titled “Taught, but not forgotten.” Bailey will be assisted by Professor and Associate Vice Chancellor Christopher Marks, harpsichord and piano. 

The program includes Georg Philipp Telemann’s “Methodical” Sonata in G Major, Jules Mouquet’s “La Flûte de Pan, Op. 15,” Charles Delany’s “…and the strange, unknown flowers…” and Amanda Harberg’s “Court Dances.”

Bailey is the Richard H. Larsen Distinguished Professor of Music (flute) in the Glenn Korff School of Music. He is a member of the Moran Woodwind Quintet, the resident faculty quintet in the Glenn Korff School of Music, as well as principal flutist with Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra.
