Lincoln, Neb.—The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Jazz Orchestra will perform on Monday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. at First Plymouth Congregational Church. The concert is free and open to the public. 

The concert is titled “The Way There.”

The program includes “Counter Block” by Thad Jones; “East L.A.” by Joe Gallardo; “Armageddon” by Wayne Shorter and arranged by Marcus Printup; “Ad Parnassum” by Jim McNeely; “Why Is That” by Jihye Lee; “Idioteque” by Thom Yorke, Colin Greenwood and Paul Lansky, arranged by Patty Darling; and “Facing East” by Marcus Lewis.

The Jazz Orchestra is the university’s showcase jazz organization and one of the Glenn Korff School of Music’s most visible performing groups. They under the direction of Greg Simon, associate professor of composition and area head for composition, history and theory.

First Plymouth is located at 2200 D St. in Lincoln.
