Open Studios event on May 1 to take place inside virtual Carson Center
Lincoln, Neb.--Students from the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts will share their work from the spring semester StoryLab and Visual Expression Studio classes in a virtual Open Studios event on Mozilla Hubs inside a 3D virtual model of the Carson Center on Friday, May 1 from 5-7 p.m. CST.

Graduate student Fife wins two international online competitions
Glenn Korff School of Music graduate student Kiya Fife was recently announced as the winner of two international online competitions.
Pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance degree, Fife was searching for competitions and summer programs on YAP tracker and the Great Composers Competition came up as one of the results.
“I looked through the requirements and decided to apply for their Music of Europe conceptions,” she said. “There were two categories that I entered into -- The Music of Mediterranean Europe and The Music of Germany and Austria.”

Barnes to perform April 24 in Lied Live Online series
Lincoln, Neb.--The Glenn Korff School of Music’s Marguerite Scribante Professor of Piano Paul Barnes will perform in the Lied Center for Performing Arts’ Lied Live Online concert series on April 24.
Barnes will present a unique, interactive program at 7:30 p.m. The event to benefit the Lied Center for Performing Arts, will be live-streamed on the Lied’s Facebook page at https://go.unl.edu/barneslied and at liedcenter.org.

Husker theatre alum helps sew masks for New York City hospitals

Barger’s Amicitia Duo releases CD ‘Play Pretty’
Lincoln, Neb.--The Amicitia Duo, which includes Glenn Korff School of Music Professor of Clarinet Diane Barger and University of Alabama at Birmingham Professor of Clarinet Denise Gainey, has released their first CD titled “Play Pretty.”
