The University of Nebraska–Lincoln is proud to host its 2nd annual Single Reed Day at the Westbrook Music Building in the Glenn Korff School of Music. This exciting and free event is open to clarinet, bass clarinet, and saxophone players from middle school through college, as well as music educators interested in exploring the performance and pedagogy of single reed instruments. Co-hosted by Dr. Diane Barger (clarinet) and Dr. Ora Paul Haar (saxophone), the day will feature guest artists Nicholas May (saxophone), Dr. Jennifer Reeves (clarinet), and Dr. Lucas Willsie (clarinet). Participants will engage in instrument-specific sessions, including All-State audition preparation for 8th grade and high school students (classical and jazz), masterclasses, and performance opportunities. Whether attending as a performer or observer, all attendees will enjoy hands-on experiences and a full day of learning, collaboration, and inspiration.
