The Soprano-Alto Festival is for sopranos and altos enrolled in high school choral programs. The festival is designed to give participants a positive choral music experience with students from other area high schools while performing meaningful yet challenging repertoire. Festival participants are chosen through a teacher nomination process.

There is no fee for participation. You have the option of only performing the three festival pieces or having your choir also perform two or three songs separately for the concert. 

The festival’s repertoire and schedule are provided below. The musical selections may be obtained from any authorized sheet music retailer.

Housing/Meals

Housing and meals are on your own. Hotel and area restaurant recommendations may be obtained upon request.

Festival Finale Concert

The Festival Finale Concert is on Monday, April 12, 2027 in Kimball Recital Hall. The concert features the festival choir, participating high school treble choirs, the University Chorale and treble a cappella group Boots n Cats. Parents, teachers and friends are welcome to attend. There is no admission fee for the finale concert.
