Lincoln, Neb.--Have you always wanted to play the piano? Or have you forgotten how to play piano since you were a child? Join Lincoln’s Community Piano Experience (CPE), a group piano class offered as an outreach of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Glenn Korff School of Music piano pedagogy program.
This program offers group piano classes that center on helping students develop basic music reading and piano-playing skills. Designed specifically for adults, this program offers classes at beginning and intermediate levels.
The CPE Assistant Coordinator is alumna Cristina Vlad Hayes (DMA 2013).
“Learning piano in a community setting opens doors to shared joy and growth,” she said. “It’s where music comes to life, allowing anyone, regardless of their past experience, to discover or rediscover their musical journey. This environment fosters confidence, making the process of learning less intimidating and more rewarding. Whether you’re a beginner or returning after years, you’re more than welcome to join us in creating music together.”
The beginning level meets on Tuesdays starting on Sept. 17 (with no class on Oct. 22 and Nov. 26).
The intermediate level meets on Thursdays starting on Sept. 19 (with no class on Oct. 24 and Nov. 28).
