Lincoln, Neb.—The Symphonic Band will perform a concert titled “Olieán Beo (The Living Isle)” on Thursday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall.

The conductor is Sarah Jo Aymond. The recital is in partial fulfillment of a Doctor of Musical Arts degree.
The program includes “Céad Mile Fáilte” by John Francis Larchet, arranged by Col. Wilhelm Fritz Brase; “Finneagan’s Wake” by A.J. Potter; “Winter Dances” by Fergal Carroll; “Mise Éire” by Sean O’Riada; “What’sa Heaven For” by Vincent Kennedy; and “Air” from County Derry (Danny Boy), arranged by Fred O’Callaghan.
The Symphonic Band has the distinction of being the band program’s top symphonic ensemble.
