Facilities in Richards Hall

The ceramics area includes an indoor electric kiln room, a covered outdoor kiln pad, a glaze mixing kitchen, a well-ventilatedclay mixing room and an organized tool storage area. Classes are held in spacious hand-building and wheel-throwing facilities with dedicated space for both advanced undergraduate and graduate student studios.

Located on the first floor, the Eisentrager - Howard Gallery exhibits the work of UNL faculty and students. The gallery serves as an extension of the studio and classroom, providing students and the public with the opportunity to interact with contemporary art and to discuss issues with artists who may be exhibiting in the gallery.

The Drawing and Painting facilities occupy 3 rooms in the main floor of Richards Hall. The two largest spaces include open truss ceilings with clerestory windows, ample storage and workspace, an adjacent spray booth and variety of easels and additional work surfaces for exceptional opportunities to create.
