David Duffy

David Duffy is Vice President of Live Entertainment at Disney World in Florida.

After graduating from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 1988, David Duffy joined the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and began his Disney career. As a performing artist, he sang and danced across Walt Disney World, At the same time, he was an actor and worked in commercials and television shows. His career took a turn when he joined production and became director and creator of shows. The first show he worked on was called "The Innoventors."

In 2008, Duffy became Creative Director for Disney Cruise Line and for "Aulani," a Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii. From 2014, he was appointed Creative and Production Director. He was also an Executive Producer for Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. As such, he was responsible for the development and production of shows, parades and even fireworks. He worked on many project, including participating in the opening celebration of the "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" themed area, inaugurated at Disneyland in California in 2019. 

In 2021, he brought his know-how to Disneyland Paris as Vice President of Entertainment, where he was responsible for all the teams working on the shows, from their creation to their production, without losing sight of the operational teams. In 2022 at the Park World Excellence Awards, Duffy received the Best Live Enteratainment 2022 trophy for Disney D-Light on behalf of his teams. Later that year, the show also received a nomination during the IAAPA Brass Ring Awards ceremony, where Disneyland Paris won not only the award for the most creative holiday season show for Mickey's Dazzling Christmas Parade!, but also the award for Most Creative Event for the 30th Anniversary Celebration.

With a career over 30 years, Duffy knows that to live great adventures, you must know how to seize the opportunities. And in 2023, Duffy was named the new Vice President of Live Entertainment at Disney World in Florida.
