Rebekah Hoke Brown received her bachelor's degree in art history from Brigham Young University with a minor in Scandinavian Studies and her master's degree in art history from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. At Nebraska, Rebekah’s master’s thesis discussed American Gilded Age portraits by the Swedish artist, Anders Zorn.
Currently, Rebekah is a Ph.D. student in art history at Indiana University-Bloomington. At IU, Rebekah continues to pursue research in American, Scandinavian, and Trans-Atlantic art history of the late 19th and early 20th century.
Rebekah is passionate about the role of museums in making art accessible and has worked in several museums in Texas, Utah and Denmark, and most recently at Sheldon Museum of Art in Lincoln.
