Studios, Performance & Creative Spaces

From pixels to paintbrushes, concert halls to motion capture and everything in between, our campus contains everything you could ever need to create and inspire. 

No matter your program, we’ll set you up for success with our state-of-the-art spaces. Below is a breakdown of our spaces and their association with the schools.

School of Art, Art History and Design

Richards Hall

With spacious studios, tons of natural light and a warm, lived-in atmosphere, Richard’s Hall is the perfect place for our artists to spend time creating, collaborating and learning.  

Woods Art Building

The second building houses the art school and the college administration offices, as well as photography studios, printmaking and book arts facilities, digital labs and more. 

Glenn Korff School of Music

Westbrook Music Building

Our brand-new state-of-the-art building sets a new standard for music education.  

Kimball Recital Hall

The newly renovated recital hall enhances the school’s raises the bar for performance quality around the country. 

Dance Facilities

Our dance facilities make up over 10,000 square feet of space for students to move, experiment and discover.

Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film

Temple Building

The historic Temple is a staple of Nebraska’s campus, home to a proscenium theatre, two flexible black box theatres and a sound stage. 

Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts

The Carson Center is a cutting-edge facility for students to engage in interdisciplinary learning across filmmaking, video game design, VR and AR practices, and other new and emerging technology-based practices.

Additional Spaces

Sheldon Museum of Art

Founded in 1888, and the University of Nebraska. Together, the collections include nearly 13,000 artworks. 

Lied Center for Performing Arts

The Lied Center brings some of the world’s most renowned productions, performers and speakers to Nebraska’s campus.  

Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center

Unique among universities across the country, The Ross programs the best in contemporary independent and global cinema. Theaters are also used for film studies classes.
