Undergraduate research awards presented
Lincoln, Neb.—Two School of Art, Art History & Design undergraduate students received awards from the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts in conjunction with the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Student Research Days.
Sofia Fernandez Echeverri, a senior art major (painting), and Alyssa Kobza, a senior art major (printmaking), each won $250 as one of the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts’ award recipients for the Student Research Days in April.

Capstone experience opens May 3

Clay Club sale returns May 8 at Lux Center
Lincoln, Neb.— The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Clay Club will hold their spring sale on Saturday, May 8 at LUX Center for the Arts. The sale will feature work made by School of Art, Art History & Design graduate and undergraduate ceramics students.
Hours for the sale are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the LUX Center, which is located at 2601 N. 48thSt. in Lincoln. Admission is free.

Statewide High School Invitational Exhibition is online

Four artists remain in MFA Thesis Exhibitions
Lincoln, Neb.—The MFA Thesis Exhibitions continue in the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall through April 16. Four graduating Master of Fine Arts students in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s School of Art, Art History & Design are presenting their work in the final two rounds.
The simultaneous solo shows are on display in two remaining rounds, with a new pairing of artists each week between April 5-April 16.
