From student organizations and student-run galleries to ensemble performances and competitive internships, Huskers in the Hixon-Lied College for Fine and Performing Arts are getting the hands-on experiences they need to grow and succeed in the artistic careers.

Theatrix
Theatrix is a student-run theatre company that allows students to create explorative, unique theatre that applies skills and concepts learned throughout our program.
Cinema 16
Cinema 16 is the film production club at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. They work to provide students of any major who have an interest in filmmaking with opportunities to do just that—make, talk and learn more about film production. Some of their events include monthly film festivals, social events and guest speakers.
Creative Commons
Creative Commons' goal is committed to cultivating a supportive and diverse group of creatives. We offer engagement, education and exhibition opportunities, such as our members-only show in the Medici Gallery.
UNL Design Club
The UNL Design Club focuses on both social engagement and student development. Members have the opportunity to attend student and professional conferences and seminars, gaining valuable insights into the diverse world of design. Students also participate in agency tours, annual portfolio reviews, and a variety of fun activities, such as study nights, craft nights, and our popular annual Sh*tty Portraits fundraising event.
Boots & Cats
Boots & Cats is UNL’s premier treble a cappella group. It’s one of several a cappella groups at the University that include The Bathtub Dogs, Pitch Please, The Red Keys, Rocktavo and Take Note.
Animation Club
The EMA Animation club is a fun place for students around campus with a passion for all mediums in animation to creativity express themselves.
