Fountain has been a featured soloist with the Marion Philharmonic, the UNL Symphony Orchestra and Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra.

He holds the position of Principal Keyboard with both Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra and the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra and has appeared as section pianist for the Amarillo Symphony Orchestra. An accomplished collaborative pianist, Fountain was the principal rehearsal and performance pianist for the world premiere of the musical Broadcast, by Scott Murphy and Nathan Christensen.

Inspired by an interest in early pianos, Fountain studied fortepiano with Ann Chang at UNL and with Malcolm Bilson at Cornell University. He is an ardent student of historical performance practice on both period and modern instruments. In the summer of 2011, Fountain was invited to participate in the inaugural Westfield International Fortepiano Competition.
