About Jordan,
Originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina, Jordan attended the University of North Carolina-Pembroke for two years before transferring to Southeast Missouri State University where he completed the Bachelor of Music Degree. Redd is currently the graduate teaching assistant for the Husker Horn Studio at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is completing the Master of Music Degree in May. At UNL he performs in a variety of ensembles including the UNL Woodwind Quintet and the Husker Horn Sound horn quartet. As a soloist he has won the UNL Graduate Concerto Competition, the State Level Young Artist Brass Competition twice and in January 2018 Jordan was named the West Central division winner and National Finalist of the MTNA Young Artist Brass Competition. He will compete in the National round of the MTNA competition March 18, 2018 in Orlando, FL. In November 2016, Jordan performed on Manheim Steamroller’s Christmas tour in Iowa. He has also performed with the Padcuah (KY), Jackson (TN) Symphony, and Omaha (NE) Symphonies. He was selected to perform in the 2017 FOOSA Philharmonia Music Festival in Los Angeles, CA and the 2017 Suoni d’Abruzzo Music Festival in Guardiagrele, Italy, where he performed in orchestral and chamber ensembles, as well as a complete Mozart opera. Redd spends all of his time practicing and teaching.
