Unending Stream of Life
An endangered species, a chanson by Ockeghem, a poem by Rilke, a private remark by Aaron Copland, an exclamation by a Buddhist monk, and a rare specimen of organum by Pérotin: these are the seeds of inspiration from which the music came to life. Karel Husa, Kathryn Salfelder, Morton Lauridsen, Wayne Oquin, David Maslanka, and Ron Nelson each have crafted a facet of a program that reflects the broad spectrum of the human condition. Join us for an emotional journey as the UNL Wind Ensemble opens its 2015-2016 concert season.
