Scholarships

Undergraduate scholarships, graduate assistantships, and fellowships for students in the Glenn Korff School of Music result from two large categories of consideration:

1. academic achievement
2. the excellence of the audition.

Graduate students: Students will be considered for, and notified about, graduate assistantships and fellowships after all auditions have been completed.

Undergraduates: Please be reminded that you must audition for the faculty to be accepted to the Glenn Korff School of Music as a major in music or dance. Anyone who completes a successful audition (during our official scholarship audition days) is automatically considered for a music or dance scholarship. Further, by applying to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, by Nov.1, students will be considered by the Admissions Office automatically for any academic scholarships for which they may be eligible from the university. Some UNL scholarships also require a scholarship statement. Students will be considered for and notified about, scholarship awards from the Glenn Korff School of Music after all auditions have been completed. Scholarship offers from the Glenn Korff School of Music are sent by April 1.

• The Glenn Korff School of Music provides undergraduate scholarship support only to majors. Minors do not receive scholarship money.
• You may audition in more than one area, however, if offered a scholarship in both areas, you must choose ONE area for your major for scholarship acceptance. You may not receive scholarship money in two music areas and/or dance.
• If you audition for acceptance as an undergraduate composition major, you will also need to audition in one of the performance areas and pass that audition at a level acceptable as a minor.
