Adrian Armstrong, BFA 2014
Born in Omaha, Armstrong graduated with a B.F.A. in studio art (printmaking) in 2014 and has since managed an expanding and vibrant exhibition schedule. His multidisciplinary practice encompasses drawing, painting, installation, sound and other mixed media elements, documenting the contemporary Black experiences in the United States.

Lt. Col. Cristina M. Moore Urrutia, BM 1995 & MM 1998
Lieutenant Colonel Cristina M. Moore Urrutia serves as Commander and Conductor of the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West at Travis Air Force Base in California. The 60-member unit, composed of 10 musical ensembles, performs more than 350 missions annually throughout a five-state area of responsibility as an ambassador of the Air Force and Air Mobility Command.

Abby Miller, BA 2003
Miller starred on the Apple TV+ original series Home Before Dark. Prior to this, she appeared as a series regular on The Sinner, a Charles Manson follower on Aquarius and as Ellen May on the FX original series Justified. Her other TV credits include Imposters, Station 19, Snowfall, The Real O’Neal’s, The Catch, Grey’s Anatomy, Law and Order: SVU and Mad Men.

Henderson Lands Magazine Cover, National Spotlight
School of Art, Art History & Design alum Maxwell Henderson (M.F.A. 2023) was one of 20 artists selected from nearly 700 applicants as Ceramics Monthly’s Emerging Artists. Henderson’s work is featured on the cover of the magazine’s May issue.

Carlos B. Brown wins American Prize in choral conducting
Glenn Korff School of Music Alumnus Carlos B. Brown (M.M. 2014) has won the American Prize Dale Warland Award in Choral Conducting. Brown currently serves as assistant professor and director of choral activities at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina.
