In response to the pandemic, which has completely changed possibilities for making music in person, the composers at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music have teamed up with our performer colleagues to create music for our time and will do so with a live Flyover New Music ‘Untold Stories’ performance on November 17 at 7:30 p.m. from Westbrook Recital Hall. No in-person audience.

The goal of this fall’s Flyover was to collaborate on the creation of new works for solo performer; works that could be rehearsed via videoconference, practiced in isolation, and performed under any socially distanced circumstance, from an empty concert hall to a studio apartment via webcast. On Tuesday November 17, Flyover will present a series of new works for solo cello, written for and through collaboration with the cello studio, led by Dr. Karen Becker. The performance will be live webcast from: https://go.unl.edu/flyover2

Also, as part of the process Brian Reetz, GKSOM PR and Marketing, has been following the process of creating a piece from start to finish with composer Gracie Fagan and performer India Enter. You can follow along at: https://go.unl.edu/flyoverprocess
